General training in Hospital Pharmacy

The programme objective is to provide a comprehensive education on the general activities of a hospital pharmacy. It aims to cover the main tasks of a hospital pharmacy with a focus on quality and safety of services in order to promote efficient, safe and rational management of medicines within a hospital.

Target audience

This programme is intended for pharmaceutical professionals who wish to specialise in the field of hospital pharmacy in order to have the necessary skills to cope with the complexity of the tasks, to deliver quality pharmaceutical services and to improve drug therapy within a hospital.

Learning objectives

At the end of the programme, you should be able to :

  • Identify weaknesses in the systems in place and propose recommendations for improvement in each process
  • Establish, implement and evaluate good practice guidelines in the various pharmacy activities
  • Develop pharmacy activities and promote interdisciplinary collaboration to improve patient care
  • Finding the necessary information through online resources

Duration

The investment time for a lesson varies between 20 minutes to 1 hour.

There is no time limit to complete the program. You can therefore adapt your learning to your professional and personal priorities and pick up where you left off.

Knowledge assessment

At the end of each lesson, a certificate of completion will be delivered if the participant get a minimum of 80% correct answers in the post-test.

In case of failure, the test may be repeated.
